Tarot Journal Pact

I have written about making a 'Statement of Intent' (check the archives) at the beginning of your tarot journal and here is something else I have found useful.  Make a Pact (Promise/Covenant) with yourself and your tarot journal stating how often you will add, update, etc. your journal and how much time you will spend doing this.

My Tarot Journal Pact (Covenant)

I promise myself and my journal that I will add, update, etc. my journal at least twice a week. During these updates I promise to spend at least 15 to 30 minutes on my tarot journal.  For now I will designate Tuesday's and Saturday's as my journal days.

Twice a week for 15 to 30 minutes isn't very much but the point here is to make yourself (and your journal) a promise to work with your journal and to - STICK TO IT.  Actually selecting the days you will update your journal can be a great help, otherwise you have a tendency to keep putting off working on your tarot journal.

Later, if need be and if you decide to devote even more time to your tarot journal then you can 'update' your Tarot Journal Pact.  The object is to start small, stick to it, and hopefully you will expand the amount of time and effort you put into your tarot journal as your tarot studies progress.
